Bedford had little trouble scoring against AA Skyline on Friday and played just enough defense to get the SEC win.
Derek Shepherd had a career game as the Mules piled up 582 yards on the ground and had three 100-plus-yard rushers in keeping their playoff hopes alive.
Bedford will host Monroe next Friday at Bedford Community Stadium in a the cross county battle.
