With just under seven minutes played into their game against Ann Arbor Skyline, Bedford had only taken three shots on goal. Fortunately for the Mules, all three found the back of the net. Bedford could only score once more, and then they were forced to hold off a late Eagle rally to earn a 4-2 victory.
Jacob Schulty stole the puck at center ice and cruised in for the first Mule goal. That was quickly followed by a Dale Davis goal, assisted by David Jeffers. Then it was Jeffers scoring, assisted by Jake Start, to make it 3-0. Bedford went up 4-0 with Stark’s goal, assisted by Matt Dulbs, midway through the second period.
The win puts the Mules in a position to post their best SEC record since the 2007-08 season, which would happen if they split their remaining two league games.
