Schulty opened the consolation game scoring at 6:37 of the first period, assisted by linemates Andres and Bob Bobroski. A late period letdown resulted in a pair of Huron goals in the last two minutes and the Mules were behind at the break.
Bedford came out roaring for the second period. Before a minute had elapsed, Andres made it a 2-2 game, assisted by Bobroski and Dale Davis. A minute later Jeffers put the Mules ahead to stay, with assists to Box and Marek Snyder.
Andres made it 4-2 midway through the period, assisted by Schulty and Bobroski, then Jeffers added a late goal, assisted by Schulty and Dulbs to make it 6-2 at the second intermission. Schulty scored the final Bedford goal in the first minute of the third period, assisted by Bobroski and Andres, with the Chiefs getting the last goal of the game with six minutes remaining.
