Weekend summary of Mules Cross Country

Boys:

The Bedford boys team had a very productive weekend at the Clay Eagle Cross Country Invitational. The Mules placed 3rd overall in the varsity race behind champion Perrysburg and runner-up Norwalk. Leading the way on the muddied course was Michael Greeley, who finished 4th overall in 17:03. Alex Zittleman crossed the line in 17:23 for 11th overall. Noah Scheffer was 21st in 17:33, Colin Chevalier was 31st in 17:56, and rounding out the scoring was freshman Noah Bock, who crossed in 18:14 for 50th place. The JV team took the championship on Saturday, led by Steven Kraine, who was 2nd overall, and senior David Jordan, who was third overall with a lifetime personal best. Rounding out the scoring for the JV team were Austin DePue (5th), Seth Oxer (8th), and Bradey Huber (9th). Both DePue and Huber posted personal bests, along with fellow JV runners Ben Kessler, Jeremy Zientek, Brian Sullivan, and Reece Thomas. The junior high team also took the championship at this meet, solidifying the great performance by Bedford Cross Country on Saturday.

The Mules travel to the Portage Invitational on Saturday, October 8.
