The Bedford boys varsity cross country team placed 6th out of 14 teams with 165 points at the Golden Grizzly Invitational, hosted by Oakland University. Brother Rice won the varsity meet, scoring only 54 points. Leading the way for Bedford was Michael Greeley (11), who completed the 4K course in a time of 13:05 and placed 5th overall. Alex Zittleman was next to cross the line for the Kicking Mules, placing 31st in 13:56. Noah Scheffer (40th in 14:08), Jake Reaume (41st in 14:10), and Seth Murphy (50th in 14:19) Rounded out the scoring for Bedford.
In the JV race, outstanding performances were turned in by Nick Huss and Austin DePue, placing 4th and 5th respectively and leading the JV squad to a 4th place finish in their race.
The next race for the Mules will be the Tiffin Cross Country Carnival on September 10
