Bedford tried a new strategy against Royal Oak Shrine – scoring early in the game.  Halfway through the first period the Mules had built a 3-0 lead on a David Jeffers goal, assisted by Jake Stark and Marek Snyder, and two unassisted Dale Davis goals.  Three goals were also scored in the second period, but Shrine had two of them.  Bob Bobroski scored the lone Bedford goal, assisted by Jonathan Rokicki and Ian Andres.

Jeffers gave Bedford the three goal lead again with an early third period goal, assisted by Davis and Snyder.  The Knights quickly cut the lead to two, then Ian Andres scored what would wind up being the winning goal with 8:42 left in regulation, assisted by Jake Schulty.  Eighteen seconds later it was a 6-4.

With 1:09 left, Shrine scored a power play goal and had the Mules on their heels.  But Bedford held on to complete the weekend sweep.  The Mules outshot Shrine 42-27.
