It was Bedford on the short end of a mercy rule game the following day when Ann Arbor Huron came to town and left with a 10-2 victory. The River Rats outscored Bedford 4-1 in the first period, with Josef Molnar picking up the only Mule goal. Huron scored the first two and last two goals of the period.

The visitors built a 7-1 lead before Molnar scored his second of the game shortly before the end of the second period. It took the River Rats about six minutes to score enough to end the game, outshooting the Mules by a 42-29 count.
