Bedford 7 vs. Anthony Wayne 2

Bedford and Anthony Wayne entered the weekend undefeated in league play, and by Saturday night only the Mules remained in that position.  A convincing 7-2 victory over the Generals upped Bedford’s record to 6-0.  The Mules scored once in the first period, doubled their output in the second period, and doubled it again in the third.

Both teams traded power play goals to open the game, with Dale Davis scoring for Bedford.  The only two second period goals were by Jake Stark and David Jeffers as the Mules took a 3-1 lead into the break.  Three straight Bedford goals in the third period sealed the win.

Stark scored a short-handed goal to start the period, followed two minutes later by a Matt Dulbs power play goal, and then a minute later by Josef Molnar.  The Generals added a late short-handed goal, and Bob Bobroski tallied the final Bedford goal with a minute remaining in the game.  The Mules outshot Anthony Wayne 30-20 for the night, with Jacob Smalley picking up the win in goal for Bedford.
