Bedford 6, Lake 0

Bedford continued with what had started the previous night, blanking the Lake Flyers, 6-0, and upping their Northwest Conference record to 4-0 in the process.  David Jeffers and Jake Stark each picked up a pair of goals.  Jacob Schulty and Ian Andres added a goal apiece for the Mules.

Schulty’s goal was the lone score during the first period.  Jeffers doubled the lead with a power play goal early in the second period, then Stark scored twice within 10 seconds to double the lead again.  Bedford also had to kill off four penalties during that period.

Another Jeffers power play goal midway through the third period made it 5-0, and the Andres goal came with just three seconds remaining in the game.  Bedford outshot the Flyers 36-19, with Jacob Smalley earning the shutout victory in goal.  Smalley also was credited with a rare goalkeeper assist on the final Mule goal.  Schulty, Andres, and Josef Molnar picked up a pair of assists on the Bedford goals.
