Bedford Senior High School
The Bedford Boys cross country team placed third at the MHSAA Region 5 Regional meet today, qualifying them to race in the State Finals at Michigan International Speedway next weekend. Although none of the boys were in the top 15, they came across the finish very close together, demonstrating the power of team in the sport of cross country. Leading the way for the Mules was Michael Greeley, who finished a disappointing 18th after taking a fall deep into the race. Alex Zittleman and Noah Scheffer finished 25th and 27th respectively, followed closely by Colin Chevalier (29th). Freshman Austin DePue ran a gutsy race for the Mules, rounding out the scoring by crossing the line in 34th place.
In the post-Regional JV meet, Seth Murphy and Bradey Huber earned alternate spots on the varsity team for the State meet. Bedford will compete at MIS at 2:00 pm on November 5.
