The Bedford Girls Soccer varsity squad head coach Brad South handed out several individual awards at last night’s annual team awards banquet.

South commented that all six seniors were SEC Scholar Athletes for having at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA.

Senior defender Erin Jacobs was the lone Kicking Mule to receive First Team All-SEC accolades.  She was also presented with the Team MVP Award.

Seniors Chelsea Bauders was named to the SEC Honorable Mention Team.  Bauders also received the Bob Andrews Boosters Outstanding Athlete Award.

Sophomore Tara Lijewski earned the squad’s Most Improved Player Award.

Senior Maddie Weiss was honored with the Most Dedicated Player Award.

Senior Taya Bailey and sophomore Kyleigh South shared the “Golden Boot” Award as each scored nine goals during the season.

Sophomore Morgan Dietrich was the recipient of the SEC Sportsmanship Award.

Freshman Kate Chuhy was selected to receive the Greatest Potential Award.

Receiving Varsity Awards were:

Seniors – Taya Bailey, Chelsea Bauders, Marley Brereton, Erin Jacbos, Cara Stang, Maddie Weiss.

Juniors – Grace Brown, Elise Covrett, Lia Manera, Sadie Oswald, Madeline Reau. Kortney Sheeder.

Sophomores – Morgan Dietrich, Rachel Gamble, Tara Lijewski, Kyleigh South.

Freshmen – Kate Chuhy, Reagan Schmus.
